This is a 70-hour intermediate-level course featuring 21 hands-on labs, offered in self-paced, instructor-led, and hybrid formats to suit your learning preferences.
Course Overview
As the world becomes increasingly digital, Linux has emerged as a foundational pillar powering many industries and technologies. From cloud computing and cybersecurity to data analytics and artificial intelligence, Linux is at the heart of innovation.
This course will give you the skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-evolving IT landscape – whether you want to become a system administrator or enhance your skills for jobs in software development, network engineering, or cybersecurity. With hands-on labs and activities, you'll gain practical experience and confidence using the command line, installing and configuring Linux on computers, and setting up basic networking using virtual machines.
This is the first course in a 2-course series – no prior knowledge required. After continuing to Linux 2, you will be prepared for the Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1 certification exam to verify your skills and open doors to career opportunities. For a shorter introduction to Linux, consider starting with Linux Unhatched or Linux Essentials. The concepts in this course, Linux 1, are covered at a more challenging pace than Linux Essentials.
This is a paid self-paced course. Once you enroll, follow the prompts to enter your payment (USD $29.95) or access code.
This course is developed in collaboration with Network Development Group (NDG).
